I see The Agonybooth has trounced in to Boz territory.

I'd like to hear everyone's thoughts on this film and this review.
Now, more so. Because Agonybooth at times outright distorts information about the film.
We each have our own goofy film that we remember. Ones that were slated for obscurity. But because we were coming off the 80's trend of rock n roll, big hair, big explosions and big cornball characters, these films had lots of eye candy that you can't help but go back to again and again.
Those were the days. Its hard to believe that "The Boz" was slated to be the one to unseat R-nold. Didn't exactly work out that way. Did it?

I've always considered it a rather lame film, but with repeated viewings you learn to forget Bosworth's lack of charisma and enjoy the cheese. Lance Henriksen makes a great biker villain, and the grand finale, involving a building that looks like the Capitol, a chopter, bikers, gunfire and explosions is quite funny.
About Bosworth, no, he didn't get to inherit Ahnuld's saddle, despite his better command of English. I remember him starring in a couple of even lamer action vehicles before disapearing into obscurity. At least he gave us a rather funny pseudo comedic moment. The first minutes of the film have him (and his mullet) blending all sorts of foods, which he then serves to a pet crocodile. |

| I do recall this film being shot in Biloxi, Mississippi. Not exactly a boon to my home state, was it. |

Bosworth displayed all the charisma of a slab of meat. Couldn't even deliver the most basic lines convincingly. It's not a good movie per se, but as a mindless b-movie action flick it excels. Anyone who doubts that should be forced to sit through the lameness that is Howie Long's FIRESTORM. With STONE COLD you got Lance Henriksen and William Forsythe as two really good biker psycho villains and pretty good (and surprisingly violent) action scenes courtesy of director Craig R. Baxler, who also directed another favorite of mine, I COME IN PEACE. STONE COLD is probably the last great white trash action flick.
And though it was mostly filmed in Pascagoula, MS (not far from Biloxi) you won't see our state mentioned anywhere in the credits. Only place that's listed for where it was filmed is Little Rock, Arkansas. Apparently, from what I've gathered, the filmmakers got really pissed off at Mississippi when their request to film the final bloodbath at the state capitol building got turned down by then Governor Kirk Fordice. You might remember the late Gov. Fordice from back in the early 1990s when he was achieving prominence spearheading many religious right causes like prayer in school. He was the same late Gov. Fordice who saw his entire career implode when he got caught crossing over into Tennessee for trysts with his mistress. Then Arkansas Governor William Jefferson Clinton had no problem letting a film crew shoot up his state capitol building, probably because he was too busy doing other things like running for President. Thus the Mississippi Gulf Coast gets snubbed in the closing credits. Shot on location in Arkansas. Didn't know they had beaches in Arkansas.

Some thoughts on Stone Cold:
1.) The movie able to make me believe that I am looking at outlaw bikers. And this is no small point. The extras that the producers hired looked like they belonged at a Hell's Angel rally. This adds extra weight to the story about a biker gang out of control.
2.) William Forsythe looks like a mean biker. For a guy who played Flat Top in Dick Tracy and then go on to this makes me wonder if his agent is a hack or a potential genius.
3.) Lance Hendriksen was SOOOoooo right for this role. Movies like this live or die on their bad guys. If the bad guy is mediocre, the movie will suck. If the bad guy is interesting, the movie has 3/4 of its work already done. I don't know what he did to prepare for the role, but just by looking at him you already know that his character has lived a hard and wild life.
As for Agonybooth's review:
1) They are correct when they say that the plot is a little flimsy to start with. For example, I thought the bald biker was breaking up a wedding. But now that I look at it, its probably a baptism. And the reason for blowing away priests(the movie says this was the 3rd time) is never explained. Maybe that was a wise idea.
But they distorted Chain's intentions. The plot was that the Brotherhood was going to bust the bald biker out. And shoot the DA as kind of a bonus.
2) Two they are correct that "The Boz" doesn't really bring anything to his role. But the important thing here is that he does nothing to blow it either. I can't think of anything were "The Boz" misstepped and ruined the scene.
3) They have more distortions here and there. Like Chains said that you were not to let the Brotherhood's BIKER COLORS(Click Here) hit the ground even in a fight or he would knife ya.
Reading it again, I could find more. But to comment on every one would make this post too long and too tedious.
All in all, its a good review to start with. But I think a better recap could be done. As for the movie itself, I would encourage people to watch the movie because it works on its own terms.
You've heard the term "So Bad, its Good". I'd call this: "So Goofy, its Good"

Thanks for the feedback, I probably did miss some things and some of the wording was a little off. I liked Bosworth in the film too. It's a good, dumb film that's about on par with Action Jackson.
Foy: I sat through Firestorm and you're absolutely correct.
Nemo: I'd say Forsythe's agent is a little of both. As for Henriksen, he is pretty darn great in this. I think there was a bit of improvisation on his part.

Don't get me wrong Genewriter.
I love reading Agonybooth reveiws. And think your review of Stone Cold does it justice. It just that some of the explanations of plot points need to be tightened up. Otherwise, it makes the film more haphazard than it already is.
Not to say that it ain't.
You showed one were they decided to drive a cycle at Joe instead of just shooting him.
Another one that didn't get mentioned was how did Forsythe's character find out about Joe Huff's real name during his last shootout?
