Where is the audience for something like this? Three Stooges aficianados will probably avoid this like the plague, those who don't like them will avoid it as well and the young folks who haven't any idea of who the Three Sttoges were probably wouldn't find that kind of slapstick comedy very entertaining, even if the filmmakers "update" it to make it more "contemporary' (i.e. profanity, nudity and fart jokes).

Comedy is the most difficult thing to pull off. Humans scare pretty easily and we love drama but laughing... laughing takes feeling you are "one of the guys" (or gals). If you can't create that sense of community, you're dead. So to get an actor who is not used to comedy can only bring disaster.
This is going to be an epic fail.
