| So back when Spring Break Shark Attack was running commericals, I mistakenly thought it was an ad for CSI:Miami. And now, CSI:Miami really is having an episode in which people are either attacked by sharks or killed or something. I can't wait. I fully expect Horatio Caine to personally arrest the shark in question. |

I'll bet that they are going to rip off the Australian case where a man was murdered and fed to a shark to cover it up.

| Does basing a story on real life events actually qualify as being a rip off? |

... saying something like, "Okay, Jaws - you took a bite out of her. Hope that it still tastes good when you are "(taking off glasses to stare into perp's eyes) "... swimming in the prison yard".
"CSI: Miami" has the worst dialogue of almost any show on television. Honestly, I'm surprised that the cast can say some of their lines without collapsing on the floor laughing.

My mother-in-law loves teh show andI often have to listen to it while doing late-night work, and I have to agree. Maybe it seems better when you are watching the video along with the dialog, but it seems like every line consist of either:
1. Something so despicable that I instantly despise the character (most of these turn out to be the CSI team members, not the suspects).
2. Something said in such a smarmy way that one wonders if it was intentional or just plain bad acting.
3. Something so self incriminating one wonders how this person stayed out of jail so far.
For a crime drama where the police are supposed to show how clever they are it really doesn't work. Everything just turns out to be painfully obvious with tons of perfectly placed definitive clues. Indeed, it seems without stumbling upon the exact right clue every week their police work would inevitably result in false arrests.

There was a McCLOUD eph. that took place in Sidney. The bad guys disposed of people that way.
