Hey gang,
Wanted to advertise this to all you Firefox junkies who have had difficulties logging in here using that otherwise-fantastic browser (as I have since about v.1.0.3). Well, I just installed 1.5 RC3 today, and lo and behold, the issue is gone. Therefore, go ye to GetFirefox.com and retrieveth the holy Release Candidate, sayeth the demigod.

Unless a big change has ocurred in RC3 the issue is only put aside.
I switched to 1.5RC1 and it worked great, until the cookie expired (about 2 months if I remember). Then it came right back again.
Before declaring it working, try going into cookie prefernces and deleting Jabootu.com and www.Jabootu.com cookies and see if you can log in again.

It appears now that RC3 is combining "www." cookies under the domain name, since I no longer have any www. cookies (though a few www3, www4, etc.).
At any rate, I haven't been able to break it yet on RC3 - have tried deleting cookies, history, logging out & starting a new browser session, etc. Seems to be "working" working, so far anyway. :)

Hmm, that may have been the source of the issue. If the board treats www.Jabootu.com cookies and Jabootu.com cookies as identiacl . . .
Anyway, thanks for teh heads-up. I was going to wait for 1.5 final, butI'll definately be switching with RC3 now. |
