Too bad for the Mafia that they didn't make use of the "Profiling!" card when all those Italian-surnamed capos, soldiers and dons were getting hauled in by the Feds.

Actualy, that kinda did happen. When THE GODFATHER come out, i think it was the Gambino family that tried to put it to the film, by complaining about stereotyping Italian-Americans. As it was,i think most of the country laughed it off.

Actually, that happened again recently when a bunch of Italian-American groups went after The Sopranos claiming it gave viewers the impression that all Italian-Americans were involved with the mob.
