How completely out of ideas must the industry be, that they are reduced to remaking a movie that bad?
You know Grand Funk, don't you? The wild, shirtless lyrics of Mark Farner? The bong-rattling bass of Mel Schacher? The ... adequate drumwork of Don Brewer?

Especially since Mariah Carey did it just recently with Glitter, and that was such a huge hit :rolleyes:

Most of the problems with remakes is that they end up being compared to the original. In this case, the comparison can only be to the remake's advantage... :)

The truly scary thing? There was probably some exec in a meeting on the topic of "What can we possibly remake next?" who said, with a dreamy expression on his face, "How about Can't Stop the Music? That's one of my favorite moves EVER!"

Don't buy it for a sec. Not a very credible source and seeing as how no other source has popped up in the week or so since this story broke adds to the questionability of it all.
