...anonymously, thanks for the bread. Sadly, despite have reached an advanced age and working full time, I can *really* use it. Wheee! Paying bills and such!
Apparently whoever it was terrified that I'd stick their name on the site as a sponsor for a whole month if they identified themselves, and wisely avoided that ignominy by not doing so. Maybe they are about to get married and didn't want to risk a scandal.
Honestly, to whoever, thanks a bunch.

Uh, in that case can I be the stand-in sponsor?? You know, like when the winner doesn't show at the Academy Awards- "Mr. Smith could not be with us tonight. Accepting sponsorship on his behalf is..."
OK, just kidding. *g*

| So, did your anonymous sponsor pick the next review? And if not, how will you decide? |

Ken, I left a tip for you through Amazon; my apologies if it went through anonymously. I think I forgot to hit the "send donor email and name" button.

You the man, John. Did you want a sponsor slot?

You mean pick a film? Thanks, but honestly I'd rather see you pick a movie apart because you found an interesting angle than pick one apart because I chose it...

... Or in case you are interested, these recent years have seen the return of Dolph Lundgren to the DVD arena in two films directed by the man himself, The Defender and The Mechanik.
I just saw the later, and I have to say that much to my own astonishment, it turned to be an OK film. I'm about to see the other one, which seems far more promising in terms of badness. I mean, it stars both Lundgren and Jerry Springer, the later playing the president of the United States. No, seriously. |

You're welcome, but you really shouldn't tempt me by responding that way to "Ultraviolet."
Ah, "Ultraviolet."
Did they ever even bother to explain why they were using swords?

I thought it was to be "KISS meets the Phantom of the Park". Now I'm disappointed.

That's this month. John's month would be more like September or something. Next month is taken, and I'm thinking of doing Netflix month again in August. (Although I may post the smaller daily reviews over at the presently dormant blog. I haven't decided yet.) In any case, I'm not sure I would even ask for someone to sponsor that.

Can we recommend movies for August? THIRTY-ONE DAYS OF BAD COMEDIES AND BAD, GENERIC, BLOATED ACTION MOVIES!
Why yes, I am aware that I'm banned now. |
