Good stuff as usual, but after I read the review all I can think of is how Angel's Brigade/Angel's Revenge needs to appear in a Video Cheese someday. Man, that's such a fun episode of MST3k. Anyway, I was looking on the internet to figure out which character was Robin Greer, and I found this:

I thought she might have been the character in the second photo, but maybe I was wrong. However, we now know that the mask trick is even dumber given the fact that we cut from a woman with bright blue eyes to one with brown ones. |

I'll add that tonight, when I also add (duh) RVHorror's Sponsor credit.
And yeah, I've got a copy of Angel's Brigade on video, so that should be popping up at some point.
As I went back through the episode for the screencaps, I again felt sorry for Michele Scarabelli, who has a two minute walk on but has to flash her goods at some length without even a figleaf of plot justification. I realize that was a bit more usual in the '80s (what with the nudity requirements in all the slasher movies), but man, they really take advantage of her here.
PEGGY: I don't see how having a girl on the team would ruin it. Did a woman judge ruin the Supreme Court?
HANK: Yes, and that woman's name was Earl Warren.

What get's me is, why did he do the surgery at all? He's the boss, it is a non life threatening situation, just in sick and reschedule.

I mean, even *less* of one!

| Do you ever get the feeling that The Hitchhiker was TRYING to botch it up? I doubt this story could ever be an example of great television, but it could have been halfway decent -- if only the writer and director didn't go out of their way to make it as bad as possible, it seems. What other conclusion can you draw when you have Sybil Danning displaying her huge tracts of land... then get an eyeful of Robert Vaughn going at it AAAACCCCKKKK!!! My eyes!!! MY EYES!!! |
