Until then, we'll have to stick with Misty Mundae's Spiderbabe, which I haven't seen, but assume, er, has certain similarities to the new Batwomen.
Also, remember Sharon Stone complaining that Catwomen would have done better if they'd played up the lesbian angle more? Talk about a one-trick (no pun intended) pony.
PEGGY: I don't see how having a girl on the team would ruin it. Did a woman judge ruin the Supreme Court?

Oh sweet christ, yes. Lesbians are like cinematic salt and pepper. If the dish is bland, just sprinkle some on and it will be better.

DC Comics doing something incredibly stupid with one of their characters as a publicity stunt? The hell you say! I only hope they release multiple version of the comic with hologram covers, trading cards, and polybags.

Actually, I'm pretty sure that the original Batwoman character was created by DC to copyright the name.

Having a lesbian angle in a movie has the same problem salt and pepper has: it won't help at all if the dish tastes awful to begin with. |

Ah, nothing brings quality like an attempt to diversify a super hero roster. Moves like that lead to heroes like the Black Bomber. |

Or the Black Panther or Jimmy Woo ... who actually are pretty cool, so it's not always a disaster.
