| Not quite. It isn't very good but it isn't bad enough to qualify for the Jabootu treatment. The movie is mostly lame and kind of stupid and but it has a kind of dopey charm which provides some entertainment value despite its multitudinous flaws. I'm not at all familiar with the original comics so I can't say how faithful it is. |

Saw it this weekend. The effects are neat, I suppose, but the showstopping fight sequences were few and were over too quickly.
What really killed it for me was that I could write a better Ghost Rider story in my sleep. Seriously, why does it always have to be about taking over the world? Can't the story just be about a guy dealing with a curse?
One that really cracked me was (click and drag for current movie spoiler):
the two Ghost Riders riding 500 miles through the desert. Okay, the flame horse was cool and all, but, when they get to their destination, Sam Elliot just hands Johnny Blaze a shotgun, and then he immediately leaves. Come the hell on! Couldn't he have given him the shotgun 500 miles ago, said "the town's that-a-way," and saved himself a hell of a lot of riding?
But, if you ignored the lame story and dialog, there was some neat eye candy. |

| Yeah, that got me cracking up too. It also has some quirky directorial choices, such as the frame of a cow inserted in the middle of a kiss, or a bunch of helicopters flying accompanied by Wagner music... I wonder where did I see that before... |

Now for the kid friendly version. TOAST RIDER. A kid sells his soul to Beelzibum aka "The pantser", and he gets to defeat bullys while rideing a smokein' big wheel.
Yes, i'm off my meds. Why?
