"Five of the Gamera films, as well as Fugitive Alien, Star Force: Fugitive Alien II, Time of the Apes, Mighty Jack, and Humanoid Woman (KTMA season), were featured on Mystery Science Theater 3000. Frank eventually became the target of mockery on the show; a rumor says he responded by refusing to renew distribution rights for any episode featuring one of his films. MST3K writer Kevin Murphy recently confirmed that Frank only pulled distribution rights simply because Best Brains and Comedy Central didn't have enough money to resecure the rights." (emphasis added)
So maybe relations with Sandy Frank aren't as bad as we originally thought. If it's simply a money issue, somebody pass around the hat and let's start a collection! |

Does anyone know what has happened to Joel Hodsgen (I forget how he spells his name). he was one of the creators of MST. I loved his laid back, passive agressive personna, who always seemed to be half stoned. As funny as Mike's more agressive character is, I always found Joel's sly stoner to be even funnier. I know he had a brief, but successful career as a prop comic before MST. What is he doing now?

Wow, Joel's been around, as well as Frank and Trace!
DARKSTAR - 2006- has a character called "Rock Carnage"....ya know, that might be fun to catch. Anyone seen that puppy?
