Once again, i realise why i like posting here. No Flame Wars Allowed! Neville gets a fair hearing, and so do others. I can live with disagreement, as long as no one is disagreeable.
Neville : Its as hard for us Americans to see your point of view, RE : Gun Control, as it is for you to fully understand ours. Our upbringings come from noticably diferent philosophical underpinnings. In Ohio, ever time i see a Guns Prohibited sign, i think, thats a "Rob Me" sign. It means the owner thinks the presence of a gun makes for danger. Thats not...sensable, to me. People are the ultimate operating power for their own lives. If they are emotionaly disconnected from the value of other peoples lives, then they will have no break on their instinctive impulses. And emotions like anger will have far more power then a law on the books can. Do guns make killing easier? Yes. Does that mean that mass killings are inevitable? No. As was mentioned earlier, its a commitment to fighting for your life that changes the odds of a villian hurting you. If Hannable Lechtor faced people as fearless as he, would he be as dangerious? Most movie villians are basicly bullys. They don't pick on those more powerfull then they, they pick on the weak. Do you guys think this event in the real world, is reflected in the movies we watch?
