... Salma Hayek for this role!

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0441774/

The film is based (loosely probably) on the true story of a pair of sicko killers from the 40's. You can scroll down the page here for a picture of the real life murderess that Hayek is playing:

All I can say is that unless Hayek pulled a "de Niro" and packed on upwards of 200 pounds, then she wins this category hands down!

And for that matter scroll down this page to see Martha Beck's partner in murder:

http://www.crimelibrary.com/serial_killers/partners/fernandez/3.html

Does that guy remind you of Jared Leto?

It wasn't that Sharon Stone was miscast in The Quick and the Dead, it is more like that movie should never have been made anyway.

OT, but I thought Quick and the Dead would have made a good western if it had a real director behind the camera instead of Sam Raimi.

And for the record, I thought Stone acquitted herself quite well.

Wynona Ryder as Mina in "Bram Stoker's Dracula". More like "Bram Stoker's Mannequin"

"...yet it hadn't destroyed his brain."

Demi Moore in Strip Tease. She takes this part so seriously that she seems to have stepped in from another movie. In Carl Hiaasen's laugh out loud novel the character is a real person but fully part of the odd cast of characters.

How about Farrah Faucett in Logan's Run? She also seems to have popped in by mistake off another movie set.

Keanu Reeves in pretty much everthing he's been in but the Bill & Ted films and The gift.

As for Hayek, I'll wait until I see the film. She's no Meryl Streep, but she's better than many other actresses out there.

Good actress or not, if Hayek can pull this off then next up I see her starring in a biopic about the late John Waters collaborator and female impersonator Divine.

@Neville, I would add River's Edge and, yes, The Matrix as roles Reeves was well-suited for.

As for his other roles: Dracula, Dangerous Liasions... well, you know the drill.

Katharine Hepburn, as Mary Tyrone in LONG DAY'S JOURNEY INTO NIGHT. She was way too healthy for that role. Ann-Margret, as Blanche DuBois, in the TV STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE. Ditto.

Hinda, don't forget Beverly D'Angelo as Stella in the TV version of Streetcar. Through the whole movie, I kept thinking that if Treat Williams ever raised a fist to her, she'd kick his ass, let him recuperate, then kick it all over again. (For the record, I actually liked Ann-Margret's performance, and Randy Quaid as Mitch.)

This one could also be for the most miscast ACTOR.

In the movie "Rooster Cogburn", Katherine Hepburn's "father" was just ONE YEAR OLDER than she was!

"The Queen is testing poisons." CLEOPATRA, 1935

I thought Beverly D'Angelo was a good Stella and Treat Williams, while no genius like Brando, handed in a good, competant, professional performance as Stanley Kowlaski. ANN-MARGRET, on the other hand, looked as haunted and driven and tormented and neurotic as an old milch cow grazing in a meadow.

Barbara O'Neill (Ellen O'Hara), in GONE WITH THE WIND, was two years older than Vivien Leigh.

And didn't Lorne Greene play Ava Gardner's father in Earthquake?

Don't forget though, Angela Lansbury wasn't much older than Lawrence Harvey when she played Mom of the Year in The Manchurian Candidate.

Jody Foster is badly miscast in the movie rendering of Maverick. She is a fine actress and acts well in the movie, but her part calls for a woman who is a temptress with the power to fog men's minds. while Foster is pretty she simply isn't very buxom and seductive. She is the weakest link in the movie.
