A couple of years back, Mythbusters did a two-hour show exploring myths associated with the movie Jaws (can you blow up an air tank by shooting it, etc). I never saw that show, but luckily they are replaying it this Saturday afteroon (the 26th), following other shark related programming.
Here in the midwest, CST, it's playing from 4-6 o'clock. Set your schedules accordingly.
PEGGY: I don't see how having a girl on the team would ruin it. Did a woman judge ruin the Supreme Court?
HANK: Yes, and that woman's name was Earl Warren.

This is absolutely my favorite Mythbusters episode ever. Well, as an actual show it's average- very entertaining but not the very best they have done. But Kari Byron wears a bikini. It's quick so have your TIVO ready... *g*

| Ken, I think you'll like the special. IMO, they got a couple of small things wrong (i.e., Great White sharks can indeed grow to 25 feet, theoretically, and a shark that big WOULD be able to pull three barrels down for a short time), but it's more than made up for by them exploding the air tank myth. Yes, pun intended. Good stuff. |
