"Robot Chicken" did "movies" based on Hungry, Hungry Hippos (We're hungry, for JUSTICE!), Chutes and Ladders (They're cops!) and Slip-n-Slide (Casino robbers make their get-away on the slide)

There actually is a movie about Scrabble players that is quite entertaining. |

Connect Four - I see this as a Bergmanesque tour-de-force. Daniel Day-Lewis as the tormented lead, with Helena Bonham Carter as his sneaky sis.

I'm shocked Hollywood hasn't even begun to tap the rich vein of TV game shows that could be adapted to the cinema screen. The Price Is Right: The Movie and Family Feud: Bigger, Longer and Uncut are naturals, and who hasn't lain awake in bed at night in a cold sweat dreaming of a feature length dramatic version of Tic-Tac-Dough???

Make it an update to Attack of the Killer Tomatoes, with giant murderous cherries running rampant.
Only one man, one woman, and one craptacular song can save them. (Craptacular song to be performed by AFI or Fallout Boy or one of those other newer rock bands I can't stand.)

Hey but seriously, D&D was a game based on characterization, plot, fantasy, action, all the things that should have made it the one property that was bullet-proof in the transition to a film, even more than most video games. What a monumental screw-up.
