Catching up on reviews I haven't read, I tried posting this under Rocky IV, but it wasn't allowed for some reason:
I can't find the exact quote because the site is so horrible, but Stallone commented on the Robot in the pre-"Rocky Balboa" Q&A's he did at Ain't It Cool News.
The gist of it is that the Robot was actually a "genuine" real robot (presumably without the voice and AI) that Stallone acquired for himself while making the movie. And he was so crazy about his new toy that he wanted to put it in the movie. And about 15 minutes later, it was "What was I thinking?" |

| Just before coming down here to Fort Hood I watched an episode of The Family Guy where they recreated the entire Rocky IV robot scene, complete with music. I mean even the camera angles and shadows were spot on. In the context in which they showed it, it was absolutely ridiculous. |
