Hehe, I heard about this... The guy is a PR genius. Period. I'd think about signing the petition but- I don't want him to stop! I love Uwe movies. HOD and Blood Rayne both entertained me more than 60% of the movies I see.

| As a lover of bad movies I don't know if I could bring myself to sign a petition to stop today's most famously bad film-maker from making movies. I get far too much enjoyment from them, turds that they are. |

I really doubt he'll stop if he gets the million signatures. Is his off-hand comment really binding? What can anyone do if he laughs the million signatures off and goes on about his business? Even ifhe does retire after getting the million, what can stop him from pulling a George Foreman, and coming back a couple years later? I believe this will happen as much as I believe the winner of a reality show will become anything special.

I dunno, I have to concur about Bay... you know, even a clock that doesn't run is right twice a day and all that. As for the signature thing I don't think there are even remotely close to 1,000,000 film geeks like us that actually care enough to sign one way or the other so his odds of getting away with not having to make good are likely quite safe.
It would be a gas to see what happens if that turned out to be wrong though *g*

Well, there's a new chapter in the Postal campaign. Boll is not pleased that Michael Bay called him "an asshole" and wants to fight him for real and in Las Vegas.
"Hi, here’s Uwe Boll and you see my outfit so you know what’s coming up now basically. Michael Bay responded to my note about him in a very insulting way for me. He said that he doesn’t care about me and this was very insulting because I care about him and I think that with the money he has for his movies, he sucks big time. I think it’s time to meet in the ring actually.
So it’s my message to Michael Bay, Michael, in between your pool parties in LA or your casting sessions with the strippers you should start training now. And I’m sure you look good, you look thin. I saw you at the Hollywood Film Festival, I think you’re a fit guy and you do like private karate Asia bullcrap crap fighting stuff in LA where you think you’re super cool that you do that with your 500 bucks per hour trainer.
So let’s meet in the ring in September or October. Pay-per-view. Mandalay Bay. Las Vegas. Twelve rounds of boxing. Boll against Bay.
It’s also independent against the studio system and I think that this day in Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas we will clear it up who is not only the better director who is also able to fight more for that what he wants.

As much as it is obviously a publicity stunt, I'd love to see that. I mean, both have done enough damage to the movies to make the whole thing look like fair punishment for their deeds. |

Bay is the kind of narcissistic a-hole that probably keeps in really good shape. Boll might find he's in for a good fight. But then, he actually is a fighter so Bay's ego might get him into trouble if he were to actually go for it.

I'm behind the Boll/Bay grudge-cage match 100%, but only if Eli Roth is also invited. Also Paul Anderson, Neil La Bute, and Vincent Gallo. Then, before they notice that the seats are filled with cardboard cutouts, we lock the cage exit behind them and release the starving timber wolves into the ring.
