I know Chicago has been socked, Ken.
Here in Columbus, Ohio its been cold but mostly dry till last night. Got about two inches of snow and sone ice in surfaces.

Actually, here in the City of Chicago, things are what I think of as mild. I did a bit a snow shoveling over the weekend, but nothing major. In the area the worst thing was rain that froze into ice.

In New Bedford, it's about 18 degrees WITHOUT wind chill. Snow coming, though there's still some left over from last week's blizzard.

| On the other hand, here it's been an unusually warm autumm - winter. We had freezing temperatures and thick fog around a month ago, but today I had to come back home to dump my parka and change clothes. It's been around 17-20ºC during all day. |

Sinton, Texas: 50 degrees. Over ten degrees below normal, but the standard deviation is high.

Lows for the week will be around 10.

Lots of snow today, more coming tomorrow. Not so cold - -5 degrees perhaps (20 degrees Fahrenheit). My cat flatly refuses to go out, just looks with disgust at the white, wet cold stuff.

My sis up there in Dublin says it's been snowing like crazy all week. No big deal elsewhere, but apparently the local authorities are not used to snow. They haven't spread rocksalt and the roads are troublesome. She also says a lot of flights have been cancelled today, and she's afraid because she's supposed to fly to the Canary Islands in a few days.
