I noticed this morning that AMC was run at least a two hour block of infomercials in the early morning hours. Is AMC circling the drain? AMC has gone from a commercial free movie site, to commercials, to some TV series, to running infomercials. Now they have gotten some notice for their original series but I don't know if that is enough to sustain them. I figured that TMC and Fox Movie Channel would have a negative effect on them. Plus, those two channels show moves uncut unlike AMC.

I too have noticed teh demise of AMC from a first rate movie channel to commercial to less and less quality of movies to commercials.

I remember, even before they started sinning against cinema (commercials, cut movies, going 'full frame'), being weirded out when they showed something like Reptilicus. I wasn't sure who considered that either American or a Movie Classic.
But yeah, they suck. Too bad, because we could use a TCM like channel that focused more on modern films. (Although if it came down to a choice, I'll go with TCM's old movie focus.)

I wonder how much TCM and FMC hurt them by locking them out to some extent of their film libraries. You know outside parties don't get the deals that TCM and FMC get from their sister companies.
