"One of the most dangerous ways Homosexuality invades family life is through popular music. Parents, please keep careful watch over your children’s listening habits. Especially in this age of Internet mp3 piracy.
There are multiple levels of Gay Music. Some bands are what we like to call Gateway Bands. They lure children in with Pop Grooves and Salacious Melodies leaving them wanting more. They’ll move on to more dangerous bands and the next thing you know you’ve got a homosexual for a child.
We’ve taken the time to highlight the bands that are particularly Gay. Please take the time and dissect your child’s CD / iTunes catalog. If you find 3 or more of these bands in their collection it is time to take action.
We Strongly recommend that you burn the CDs. Make sure your child is watching. Make sure they can feel the heat. It is crucial that the image remains emblazoned in their young minds. They need to know that if they continue to listen to these bands they may Burn eternally as well."

Errrrmmmmmm, Nickelback? The Jonas Brothers??? Frank Sinatra?! TED F---IN' NUGENT?!?!?!
I'd say this was a full-blown no-holds-barred parody (Nugent is kind of a tip-off there), except... well, it's pretty well-known what kind of crap Fred Phelps and his, uh, family, have pulled.
Actually, I suspect this guy is being serious. I was ready to write this off as a prank, since of all the bands and singers, Katy Perry (she who kissed a girl and liked it) wasn't mentioned. Then I noticed that he said Kate Bush "kissed a girl." He also mentioned Elton John twice and has several misspellings and screw-ups in the names. That tells me he (1) didn't do the research and (2) isn't at all familiar with some of these bands beyond hearing their names in passing.

You mock, but thank heavens someone brought this to our attention! No more gay Cole Porter music for me! From now on I'm only listening to good straight music not on that list, like Tori Amos and Lady Gaga!

The Village People? In what possible way are they at all gay?
And apparently the likes of Lil'Wayne (Whoever that is) and Twisted Sister are so gay they're listed twice. |
