So I watched what is likely to be another bomb starring Geena Davis, which treats the idea of a woman becoming the President of the US...it's like they did a serious drama about an former zoo ape becoming the Prez, as if the idea that's she's a woman and the Pres is just SO EXOTIC AND WAY TOO MINDBLOWING. They might as well have titled it OMG THE PRESIDENT HAS A VAGINA?!?!?!?!?!? and yes, they would have to use alternating question marks and exclamation points in the title.
Plus, there's Donald Sutherland twirling his long, thin mustachios demanding that LadyPres must pay the rent, and then tieing her to the railroad tracks. Well OK, that's how well rounded and creative a antagonist he is. He shuts down the teleprompter just before she gives her Big Speech on the TV! Whatever will she do? She just gives the worlds most stilted and over-rehearsed speech EVER. And he stops just short of shouting things like "I'LL DEAL WITH THIS UPPITY WOMON! ALL YOU GOTTA DO WITH THEIR TYPE IS PUNCH 'EM IN THE BOOBS! AND HARD!"

Oh, and I checked out NBC's Surface, the show where in the episode I watched part of a character who is supposed to be a marine biologist looked at a drawing of a dinosaur and asked a fellow marine biologist if these creatures were common in the area they were investigating.
And had to be told that no it's not, because it's a dinosaur, and dinosaurs are extinct.
Surface looks to be one of those show's whose mysterious mysteries can only work because the characters are dumber than dirt. Yikes.
