Just so you know, the POV scene is late in the film, and pretty brief. It's the only part of the film that's actually INTERESTING, save the Universal/Mars logo in the beginning.

quote:Three things became abundantly clear to me while watching DOOM.
1) ALIENS was such a well made movie. 2) The Rock really needs to give his agent a Rock Bottom. 3) I’d much rather be playing DOOM than watching it.
And I have sneak peak at CATEGORY 7: THE END OF THE WORLD up at my blog right now too.
Now Playing in Foyeurism at Schlocktoberfest.Com: PATH OF (LEAST) DESTRUCTION - I survived a bad storm to write a review of a bad movie about a bad storm? Plus: B-WARE THE BLOG is alive at http://www.livejournal.com/users/foywonder
They removed the part about opening a portal to Hell on Mars, and replaced it with a generic "They tampered in God's domain" kinda plot. So...how is it Doom, again? I mean, the games aren't exactly thick with a well-crafted storyline, and "space marine fights Hellbeasts from portal" is pretty much the *entire* plot of the games. Remove that, and you don't have a lot of "Doom" left.
Re: The Rock - I'd like to see him be a big action star too. Seems like a nice guy.
