If you need a great delivery to salvage a line of dialogue, then it's not a great line of dialogue. Period.
Possible, but delivery is quite important to a line's impact. It's possible to flub anything to make it sound bad and I imagine a great actor can make even dumb things sound good.

I have to agree, "I let him go" is one of the greatest lines of dialogue in movie history. Even more impressively, it directly follows this all-time classic exchange:

Arnold: "Remember, Sully, when I promised to kill you last?"
Sully: "That's right, Matrix! You did!"
Matrix: "I lied!"

Seriously, if you're going to go after a line in Commando, stick with Arnold (in front of his just nearly-murdered, traumatized thirteen year-old daughter) quipping after impaling a villain with a huge pipe whose other end is projecting into a boiler: "Hey, Bennett, let off some steam!"
,

PEGGY: I don't see how having a girl on the team would ruin it. Did a woman judge ruin the Supreme Court?
HANK: Yes, and that woman's name was Earl Warren.

I can't believe anybody would say there's a bad line in Commando. This is pretty much the apex of cheezy action movies and every line in it fits perfect. Seriously, if I had to make a list of my 100 favorite movie lines, I bet 20 would come from Commando.

From Sleepwalkers, after the main bad guy (I'm not gonna bother trying to remember his name) jabs a pencil into a cop's head, he yells, "Cop-kabob!" Leave the sick jokes to a Jack Nicholson character, I say.

Another comes to mind. I just watched Blade again last night: "Some mother(bleep)ers are always trying to skate uphill."

The thing is, most of the laziest and lamest pre-death oneliners just aren't memorable. The Jaws 2 line however brings to mind the deeply lame send-off line from Leviathan - "Say hi, mother$%#er!" Yeah, very imaginative.

Though I've got to say I love all the oneliners in Commando ("I let him go." "My friend, he is dead tired." etc.) and I liked that "But I'm taller." line from Speed too.

Total Recall - Gropenfuhrer (sorry, its easier to spell than his real name, and I thought Doonesbury's moniker for him is hilarious).

Holds guy over edge of elevator, which when it hits the tube basically rips the guy free of his arms.

Still holding arms, Gropenfuhrer hollers 'See you at the party Rictor'

It stands out because my then 9 year old brother burst into almost pants wetting hysterics, and STILL quotes the line on occasion 14 years later.

I'd say he's not quite right, but he's probably more sane than I am.

Wait, I'm confused. So did you think that was a good line or a bad one? I thought it was a good one. And for once, it wasn't an Ah-nuhld double-entendre pun.

I didn't like it. Thought it was pretty goofy. And for some reason, it really bugged me that A) I couldnt tell if it was Rictor or Victor, and B) A double entendre would've made more sense.

Maybe if he said, 'Guess I WONT see you at the party, Rictor' it wouldn't bug me.

I dont know why, it just does...

I thought the worst line was Arnold's sendoff line to Sharon Stone.

"Kun-sidr att uh duh-vorse."

Or something like that. Too bad my TV doesn't support closed captioning. I could use it when watching Arnold films.

Am I mistaken, or were some of the lines from the Simpsons episode where McBain was hiding in the ice statue in Mendoza's lair actually lifted wholesale later in "Batman and Robin" when Arnold played Mr. Freeze?

I specifically remember cringing in the movie over certain lines. It may or may not have been for that reason, but "Ice to see you," is sticking in my head for both for some reason.

I came, I saw, I was really too tired to deal with it so I just went to bed.

Hey, I thought the "taller" line from 'Speed' was pretty funny, although the real kicker for me was this exchange:

Keanu Reeves, after giving Dennis Hopper the ransom money: "You're crazy."
Hopper: "No, poor people are crazy. I'm eccentric."
