According to comments on the recent reissue of DUEL on DVD, Weaver insisted on doing his own stunts and driving so Spielberg could get closer, 'face' shots.

According to the IMDB, he was also a cinematographer? If that's true (and not a mixup with another "Dennis Weaver") that's the strangest hyphenate I've seen.
