I do not always agree with Roger Ebert, but I have always admired his bravery in stating his own opinion and not just following the latest trend in critical thinking...
This is the guy who panned "The Usual Suspects" becauseof it's final plot twist, the one all the other critics were saying made it such a must-see work-of-genius.
He panned Tim Burton's "Batman" whilst praising Simon Wincer's "The Phantom" to the rooftops!!! This is the guy who said the remake of "The Stepford Wives" was better than the original!!! This is the guy who
This is also the guy who said that "Rapa Nui" deserved to be seen if only for the enormous amount of T&A on display.
To say these things takes guts and I applaud him for that.

He's also the guy that liked SPEED 2.
He's also the guy that loved both TOMB RAIDER films.
I can respect Ebert but sometimes he needs some sense knocked into him.

Regardless, I think that B.I. II is definitely blessed by the horned one. Both Ebert and Roeper gave it a thumbs down but said the movie was relentlessly entertaining (in an inadvertant way) and NEVER boring. I am SO there... :-)

Ebert's also the guy who thought the original Die Hard was the weakest film in the trilogy.
