The Music Box Theatre in Chicago is running a weekend matinee series of the films of Douglas Sirk. On Sat / Sun April 29 / 30, at 11:30 AM, the featured presentation will be Magnificent Obsession, the very film in which the grim Jabootu revealed itself in all its terrible glory.

I thought I had read all the reviews on your site. Maybe I read that one early before I realized the true splendor of Jabootu. Rereading it has opened my eyes.
