My contenders...
Ultraviolet Aeon Flux Underworld Evolution Wolf Creek - yeah, I said IT!
Seriously guys...I think we can't make fun of Uwe Boll any more. I actually loved the cheesiness of BloodRayne and love a sequel.
---------------------- I'm glad that I've finally seen a Uwe Boll film in the theater, and proud to own the director's cut. I'm also happy that it's the best film Boll has made to date (that I've seen). I hope that some day, it will be possible to watch a film he made and actually enjoy it in the way he thought it would be enjoyed. |

Oh, that's where you're using it...
Personally, the worst film I've seen this year is "Ultraviolet" -- yes, I think it's worse than "BloodRayne," if only because "BloodRayne" didn't have circular firing squads.
---------- We've always been united in stupidity. That's why there is no hope. But, then again, when has that ever stopped us?

ULTRAVIOLET and WHEN A STRANGER CALLS for me.
Oh, and technically WOLF CREEK was last year. Be like saying the best movie so far this year is MUNICH.

I haven't hit up many movies in the theatre this year, but I thought that The Benchwarmers was quite painful.
It wasn't my choice. Uh... a friend made me see it! Yeah, that's the ticket. |

| The Da Vinci Code could easily be included. Ron Howard and Akiva Goldsman do whatever ironing thay can on Dan Brown's book, but it's still pretty bad. |

| My vote is still The Hills Have Eyes. But I wonder if Ollie Stoned will give it a run for its money with World Trade Center. |

What makes you assume WORLD TRADE CENTER is going to be a bad movie?

Yeah. Do you hope the guy right across from you is a good shot or a bad shot?

I saw it this year :-)

Two words: Oliver Stone. I've come to expect nothing but the worst from that hack. |

| I'm lame too. The only movie I've seen in the theatre thus far this year is "Akeelah and the Bee", which was pretty darn good. |

Unfortunately, while this movie definitely shows occasions of laugh out loud badness; Ron Howard is such a competent director that there are vast parts of the movie that rise to adaquateness. A wasted opportunity if you ask me.

I can't comment on Ultraviolet (haven't seen it), but I can't put Aeon Flux in the running. It's not a very good movie, but there's FAR worse out there. It has a lame plot, but a plot nonetheless, and the production design is so damn good it makes up for a lot. And BloodRayne is one of the funnest times I've had watching a movie in recent memory- it's really like an Ed Wood classic. Bad in all the good ways.
Coming soon- Eraserhead: The Musical!! |

Bah, look at these titles. When a Clan of the Cave Bear or A Stranger Among Us or On Deadly Ground pops up, let me know.
Also, back in the day you could get a candy bar as big as a mortar board for a nickel. And stay out of my watermelon patch, you damn kids! Don't think I won't give you a blast of rock salt from Ol' Betsy!
PEGGY: I don't see how having a girl on the team would ruin it. Did a woman judge ruin the Supreme Court? HANK: Yes, and that woman's name was Earl Warren.
