Deep in the sewers of St Petersberg, The Illuminati guards the dark secret of King Arthur. But one of them has decided to use the secret for his own gain. It's now a desparate race to Vatican City with the very fabric of space-time itself at stake.

"The Book of Gold is a highly original best-selling masterpiece of suspense!"

I'd actually pay to read that one. And this one too:

"A highly original tale of intrigue!"
The Independent

The secret of the Holy Grail has been guarded by The Followers of the Temple Of The Vampire for twelve centiuries. A dying doctor, Stephanie O'Conner, has stumbled upon their trail. The Followers of the Temple Of The Vampire will stop at nothing to keep their secret.

This one, not so much:

It's nearly the millennium. Deep in the sewers of Toulouse, The Illuminati guards the dark secret of Ra. But one of them has decided to use the secret for his own gain. It's now a desparate race around the Mediterranean and the fate of the world is at stake.

"A fascinating best-selling masterpiece! ****"

Dan Brown's Ark of Triumph

Long-winded talky guy Robert Langdon is on a secret mission to travel to the recently unearthed, ancient city of Tanis where, using ancient relics, loyal associates, two-fisted action, and ludicious whippery he must find the legendary Ark of the Covenant and keep it out of the hands of the Nazis... I mean the Russians... I man, oh hell. Who are we fighting again?

"What a page-turner. I can almost already see this one as a major motion picture."
~~ New York Time Review of Boob

"Like all myths, there is a certain amount of familiarity about it. Like we have heard this story before."
~~ Rotten and maggot-eaten corpse of Joseph Campell

"I hate books without pictures in them. How the heck am I supposed to know what's happening without pictures?"
~~ Emma P. Hargrove, high school Latin teacher

The Ninth Plan

An old man is found dead outside his house, where he was smelling a rose. He happened to hold the key to eternal life, a key that was stolen by his chiropractor and taken into the woods, where he has set up a secret rendezvous with beings from another planet...

Meanwhile, airline pilot Robert Langdon is called in to investigate the symbology of strange flashes of light in the night sky ... flat, plate-shaped flashes. He meets and becomes involved with a plucky young woman who may or may not be the chiropractor's daughter. Now it's a race against time -- and the police! -- to discover why extremely skinny and extremely fat people are coming back to life, who the aliens are and what they want, what the obscure academic study of wicker has to do with any of this, and just how the secret of eternal life has begun to destroy the rotation of the earth so badly that days and nights last only seconds.

From the stupid, stupid mind of Dan Brown.

"A page-turning thriller about what the future holds for all of us." -- Kreskin Review

Icywolf, that plot is crazy enough it just might work! Yes, it all feels strangely familiar, but then, how many movies today don't?

I'd love to see someone do a sequel to Plan 9, based on the conceit that it was actually a low-budget documentary. The aliens are back -- with Plan 10!

Does Plan 10 involve Plantains?

I dunno what Plan 10 would involve. Maybe a ray that makes food healthier, thereby forcing the givernments of Earth to stop refusing the spacemen's existence.

Well, it makes at least as much sense as Plan 9.

I saw Plan 10 a few years back. My memory of it is that it actually had some moments. It was made by pretty young people I think. IIRC It couldn't seem to make up its mind if it wanted to be campy or whimsical- not really complimentary approaches.

Coming soon-
Eraserhead: The Musical!!

(Inset shot: TV showing "Plan 9 From Outer Space")

DUDLEY: And then, your scientists stumbled across the hydrogen bomb -- where you explode the air itself!

CUT TO: MIKE and JANET, sitting on a couch. JANET is bored and unimpressed; MIKE is attentive.

JANET: That's it? That's not even right --

MIKE: One second more -- next line.

(RETURN TO the TV)

DUDLEY MANLOVE: The only explosion left is ... the Solarinite.

(Image freezes)

(MIKE AND JANET: Mike holds a remote. JANET is stunned.)

JANET: When did they make this?

MIKE: 1959.

JANET: But ... how did he know about Solarinite?

(CLOSE on MIKE, grim and serious)

MIKE: There's only one way.
MIKE: Eros must have told him.
