i didn't check out all of them just the first few pages. still 50 is a heck of a lot for a movie poster

Depends on if they're genuine or reprints. The real ones go for at lest that or more. (I'm happy buying the reprints myself!)

Wow, the stuff I don't know about my own country... We just get regular movie posters these days. Not surprised, though - we've got a lot of artists who specialise in posters, and the ones that I see in front of the opera remain completely surrealistic.

I guess the trend of re-making posters tapered out when capitalism moved in and our movie distribution companies became just extentions of MGM/Miramax/whoever (also, computer editing makes it much easier and cheaper to just change the text on an existing poster rather than make a new one).
