Fortunately, as I eyeball some of the comments across the internet, I discover that I am not the only one to recognize that the new Wayans Brothers movie, Little Man, is actually a direct rip-off of an old Bugs Bunny cartoon, "Baby Buggy Bunny".

That's right. Bugs Bunny is their muse.
Note that this is a Columbia Pictures film, not a Warners release, and evidently no screen credit is given to Michael Maltese or Chuck Jones, writer and director of the original cartoon.
What's next, Steven Seagal in an update of "Bugs and Thugs"? |

Hey, give the Wayans some credit!! This gets them off on a more solid footing than anything else they've ever done.

The hell it does.
"White Chicks" was a variation of a skit Bugs did were old Granny was about to be scammed by Yosemite Sam. Bugs blocked him by dressing up in drag just like Granny. And Sam was dumb enough to be fooled by it.
I think the episode was called "Hare Trimmed"

Its been decades since I read it, but I'm 99.99 percent sure that, at the end of Betsy Byars' "The TV Kid,," Lennie, the little-boy protagonist, home from the hospital after being treated for a rattlesnake bite, is asked by some younger-than-he-is children of some guests at his mother's motel to read them a PORKY PIG comic book with the same plot. He asks them if they wouldn't rather have him read the report on snakes that he did for his science teacher. |
