I guess they removed the picture; I didn't see it on the article. Must be because it was downloaded so many times and printed as a wall poster that their bandwidth charges went through the roof.

| Actually the picture was in the actual paper. I don't know that they had it online as well. But I am certain it was THE Freex. |

There can't be THAT many Freeman Williamses (Freemen Williams?) out there. Who live in Houston. And manage small dental practices. And pretend be women after hours.

A lot of people do this, even when not playing multiplayer. I think a large part of it (for guys, at least) is that if you're going to be staring at the character for so long, it might as well be a character worth staring at.
But then again, all my characters in text-based games (Angband, etc.) are female too, so maybe not.

As a woman, it's pretty common for me to play as a male in online games, because so many of them only have male characters to choose from. In MMOGs, though, I tend to play as a woman because I've found that other players are more likely to do favors for you and give you stuff if you have a hot female avatar. :-)

Actually, a gaming magazine was just talking about this. The other major reason given for guys to choose a female avatar was "I am going to be spending a LOT of hours staring at this person's butt. I would much rather it be a hot butt..."
