Let us sacrifice a movie to the great god Jabootu! I suggest a Superfriends but I'm willing to tackle the old Fleischer SUPERMAN cartoons for the readers' reviews.

Nah, Greenhornet, don't do that. The old Fleischer Superman shorts will never win awards for writing, but the animation and artwork were fantastic.
Hmmmm, what movie shall we sacrifice for the New Year, and the return of our High Priest?
Hey, maybe we should sacrifice a really bad director! Uwe Boll would be an obvious choice. Anyone else? |

It was a good Christmas for me -- I got Super Inframan, Aztec Mummy Collection and the new Forbidden Planet 50th Anniversary Set with Invisible Boy and an episode of The Thin Man with Robby. I think Robby the Robot is the only movie prop with 23 Actor credits on IMDB.
Aztec Mummy Collection is wonderful. The first film is badly transferred, but the second and third look excellent. They two Gordon English versions are also included.
Curse of the Mummy features the most inneffectual wrestler to ever appear in a Mexican movie. What's worse, he goes by El Angel and wears a white mask, which in Black and White film looks exactly like Santo's silver mask.
One of the more offbeat Santo films involved an Aztec Mummy. Surprisingly, it was a Scooby Doo plot -- Santo points out that Aztec Mummies can't really come back to life. Point taken, but it was an unexpected climax in a film series which took other supernatural foes at face value. I wonder, now, if it was a deliberate dig at El Angel.
