Look, back in the days when nobaody had ever heard of Uwe Boll, I used to hate Albert Pyun. Pyun was probably the worst director ever to have his movies released on VHS. Most of them where cheapo cyborg-infested sci-fi attempts, and had names like Rutger Hauer, Kris Kristoferson, Christopher Lambert or even Steven Seagal.
I stopped hating him after watching Postmorten, a fairly decent thriller that showed him capable of better work when the conditions helped. To my own surprise, my non-hate has turned into respect after learning what his working conditions were like. I mean, Ticker, his Steven Seagal film, was shot in ten days, and Dennis Hopper, who plays the villain, only worked one day on it.
Details and interview at http://www.filmwerks.com/la_cosa.htm
Plus, unlike Uwe Boll, he seems quite a nice fellow. |

| Yeah. Pyun, IIRC, apprenticed under Akira Kurosawa but somehow had become the go-to guy for cheesey sci-fi crap, particularly cheesey crap that was way over budget and simply needed to be finished quickly. I can imagine nearly every one of his productions has an interesting ewnough story behind them to fill a book... or make a movie about it. |

| Probably, but I won't take the chance. I'll stick to his less offensive stuff like the above mentioned Postmorten or Mean Guns. But you know, those Nemesis sequels and the flick with Kris Kristofferson and Lance Henriksen playing cyborgs sound too fun to avoid. |

Knights has the Kris Kristofferson and the evil, Lance Henriksen. The midget in a backpack wearing a Kristofferson mask has to be seen to be appreciated...
Unfortunately, it is just on VHS...
