If you've been following my blog, any of my B-WARE articles, or seen it listed repeatedly in one of Ken AFM write-ups that he used to do then you're already aware of Cine Excel Entertainment's giant ant flick, GiAnts and the fact that it's been in the works for years now. Guess what finally got released on DVD in Japan (and only Japan)? Guess who plunked down more money then they'd like to admit to import a copy?
And I can tell you right now that it is a truely Ed Wood-ian production. Disjointed editing, stock footage galore, Orkin TV commercial quality CGI ants, missing scenes, barely lucid storyline, the most voiceover narration since THE CREEPING TERROR...
But I will say this; it's not without some schlock value.

Ummmm, yeah... Whatever. GiAnts is truly Ed Wood-ian. I can say this because I've seen it and it's put together in the same manner as many of Ed Wood's films. Sorry, but it is.

Who thought up this stinker?
I'll trust you it has riffing potential. Lord knows, most "Sci-Fi originals" are begging for a verbal pantsing.
But the shot with the ant on the jet....yee,hee hee! Now there be cheese here!
It all makes me wanna quote Crow from the MST- THE BEGINNING OF THE END..."One weekend a month my ass!"
Which seem to be all the work they put into this crapper!
