Wow, here's some great DVD news, from the DVDFile website:

Talk about cult-fan heaven . . . Criterion has announced an 18 September release of the beloved cult flick Robinson Crusoe On Mars. This groundbreaking film from special effects genius Byron Haskin will arrive on this special-edition DVD with a new 2.35:1 anamorphic widescreen transfer. Expect an audio commentary featuring screenwriter Ib Melchoir, Oscar-winning special effects guru (and Robinson Crusoe On Mars aficionado) Robert Skotak, and other guests, including archival audio from Haskin himself. Also included will be a new featurettes, a music video, and a stills gallery. SRP is $39.95.

How cool is THAT! *g*

One of the all time underrated movies. This is an intelligent, exciting and very witty movie. Shows that you don't need vast budgets and cgi to creat a great scifi movie. You need a good story (from Defoe), a great imagination, lots of wit, lots of nerve, and lots of love.
