This could be good since it's brought to you the guy that did Evil Dead (and his brother), I'll use IMDB's description (though the movie sounds cheesy by this desc.):
quote: A loan officer ordered to evict an old woman from her home finds herself the recipient of a supernatural curse, which turns her life into a living hell. Desperate, she turns to a seer to try and save her soul, while evil forces work to push her to a breaking point.
For some reason to me, Evil Dead just encapsulated the isolation/claustrophobia of a horror very well. More so than say Night of the Living Dead, although I love that as well, and it's just an opinion.
But can it top the Happening? I am just trying to knock on M Night, but it does remind me, the trees in Evil Dead were scary (for trees).
Anyways, here's hoping for a good horror movie (i.e. doesn't rely on torture porn, a Ring-knock off, or whatever is suppose to pass for frightening today). |

I keep hearing really good buzz about this one, but the trailer looks very silly and has tons of easy frights.
But being a Sam Raimi film, chances are I'll still watch it in the theatre anyway. |
