| GI Joe is shaping up to be one terrible movie. Has anyone seen it yet? Is it Jabootu worthy? The girl has an incredible figure though. |

| I've seen it. It's bad. Really bad. Bad story. Bad dialogue. Lots of stuff blow up, if you are into that. Can't believe I convinced myself to go see this. Can't believe everyone else in the theater seemed to be enjoying themselves. (Note to self: Comic book movies have "fanboys". Their comments that a movie is "fun" need to be taken with a grain of salt!) |

It seems to have no real substantial target audience. Violent action with no real story behind it always leaves the adult market cold and it's not something you can take young kids to see.

Haven't seen it, but one of the guys I work with took his young son to see the movie and he loved it. That's who, I think, the movie is going to appeal to, kids not adults.

| It's getting good word of mouth in my country and I'm tempted to watch it. The only thing that prevents me is how much I hated Van Helsing. Actually, the only Stephen Sommer film I like is The mummy returns. It's so far fetched and fun it does the trick for me. |

Alright, just seen it and it's such a load of crap I hope Ken never gets to review it. His article would be as long as the film novelisation.
And for the students of movie science in the board, at the end somebody destroys an underwater base in the arctic by detonating bombs that shatter the ice. And since ice no longer floats, big chunks fall down and crush the base. |
