Got to check out the new Robert Zemeckis Corpse-O-Vision(tm) spectacular this weekend. It follows the precise formula the last two did: 33% genius, 33% "eh, that was pretty cool" and 33% massive sucking fail with a side order of WTF. The good news: Jim Carey basically rips off Alastair Sim's entire performance as Scrooge and doesn't make you want to throw things at the screen. And the 3D is probably the best yet seen. The bad news- Jim Carey as the three ghosts WILL make you want to throw things at the screen. And gee-zuz, Bob- a freakin' chase action scene? In A Christmas Carol??

Did you see it in 3-D? I was baffled by that story as the choice for a 3-D movie. It requires you to throw in things like a chase scene.

There are a lot of fly-overs of London added in as amazing 3D eye candy. There are times where you forget you're watching a screen and simply think you're looking through a window as long as there are no humans prominent in the shot. The 3D is very transparent. I think the action sequences are there simply because jeez, how else the hell are you going to get Joe Six-pack to sit through Dickens, fer cryin' out loud!
