By the way, once it's 2010, I think we're all officially living in The Future.
Anyhoo, B-Fest will be happnin' on Jan 29th / 30th. It starts, per tradition, at 6:00 PM on Friday and runs until about 6:00 on Saturday.
Anyone interested in attending can find info at B-Fest.com, or leave a message below, or e-mail me at ken@Jabootu.com. I live by O'Hare and am always glad to help facilitate the trip for anyone who'd like to come.

I really hope I can afford a plane ticket up there next year, since it seems like trying to organize a road trip is a massive failure and I am REALLY not wanting to take that long a bus ride.

No, you really don't. Believe me.
If you do fly in, and assuming you can land at O'Hare, I'll be glad to shuttle you about so you don't need to worry about local transport, and we can offer you at least rough accommodation somewhere so you don't have to worry about lodging. In other words, we try to make the plane ticket the vast majority of the trip expenses.

I once did a Greyhound from Omaha to Dallas and back again. Turns out, it is almost impossible for me to sleep on a bus, regardless of what time it is or how tired I am. That was 16 or so hours of hell each way...
Looking at prices right now, I think the cheapest is Southwest, which would mean coming in elsewhere, which would mean having to get a car or something, which would make it cheaper to find a flight coming into O'Hare then wouldn't it?
