What will be interesting is if they can find a way to grow various other forms of animal tissue, like fat or bone. Those provide a lot of flavor, and if they want this idea to work, this meat will have to taste at least as good as what we have now.

Just reminds me of the 1 pound ox porterhouse steak I had yesterday. First rate. I wonder if the alchemists will ever match that, or if instead real meat will become a luxury in the generations to come and the masses will have to get used to mass produced, lesser quality, man-created, meat.
I guess science-fiction prepared us to welcome all the wonders of the future to come with slight prevention. But then, they told us before that the CD sounded better than vynil. One has the right to expect the worse. |
