Yes. The Twilight fangirls have started their own religion now. It's not markedly sillier than some of the ones already in existence, but still...
I have to wonder how Stephanie Meyer feels about this? She's a devout Mormon, after all. I suppose it would be like Ken (who I've gathered is a devout Christian) discovering that people are actually praying and sacrificing to Jabootu.

I've sacrificed myself to Jabootu more than I think my brain was built to withstand. If Jabootu is a religion, what's its Haji? Going to Chicago in the winter to watch 24-hours straight of terrible movies? Dallas in the summer to watch over 12 hours of stunningly bad stuff? (Rumor has it they watched Funky Forest at one of those things!) That's more religion than I can take.
As for Meyer, if she's making bank and tithing her 10%, I suspect that no one in the LDS ranks is complaining too much.

We're, um, we're not supposed to be doing that? Oh, sorry...

First Jedi, now this...why am I not suprised? As for Jabootu, I'm not sure you could make it a serious 'religion'...Lord,I hope I'm wrong, though...

Hmmmm, you never know really. Some serious religions with quite a few adherents;
*The God of the Old Testament is really a deluded material entity with the head of a lion. *God is the former Emperor of Ethiopia, which is also where Heaven is. *Mental ailments are caused by alien ghost dropped by airplanes into volcanoes.
‘Somewhere there’s an entity whose function is to be an anti-muse’ doesn't strike me as anywhere near that unbelievable.

It's no rumor. It was my first T-Fest and they indeed played that abomination. (I guess SOMEONE never read my reflections on it. I read all your stuff! No fair!)
I've been to three now, and I've yet to see a clear-out like that movie caused.
(imagine my eyes taking on a haunted look and my voice dropping to a hoarse whisper at this point)
They were the smart ones....the horror...
(and back)
They've yet to match it, although they've gotten close...*cough*Theodore Rex*cough*
