I recently started using Firefox, but every time I've tried to log into this forum with Firefox so far, I get a "Your username and/or password is incorrect" error. Anything I can do about this?

I started an old thread about this - originally I thought it was a ZoneAlarm issue though.

Don't think anyone really found a solution for it...

I dug around. It's a known bug in Snitz! Forums. It's possible a newer version does correct the issue, but I haven't seen anything to confirm that.

It also effects Mozilla, but that's hardly surprising.

I'm actually experiencing the same problem myself, and it's proving exceptionally hard to diagnose - even while having access to the source code of the forum.

At one point, I deleted my FF profile folder (and thus all my FireFox extensions), and it worked again for a while. Then I forgot about watching the results as I started adding back extensions, and lo and behold, now I get the same error TVsGrady describes.

I'm curious: Do any FireFox users here NOT have login difficulties? If any of you exist, would you mind posting a list of the extensions you have installed, so that perhaps we can find a pattern?

Muchos gracias!

Okay. At home I use(d) Firefox 1.0.4 With Adblock (but nothing blocked that would be on this site so I don't think that is an issue) and Flashblock extensions. I've since upgraded to 1.0.7, but I haven't been to the site from my home computer since then. I'll give it a try tonight.

Here I have Firefox 1.5 beta-1 running under slackware with Adblock extension, and everything works fine, but it's a recent install (obviously . . . it was actually an accidental slapt-get --upgrade without looking at the version number).

For teh record, Dillo also fails to work. Given that, I suspect the board uses some sort of non-standard cookie trick that IE supports and Firefox 1.0.x has only partial support for. We'll see if 1.5 keeps working.

I'm experiencing the problem running 1.0.7 on Windows XP Media Center Edition, without AdBlock.

For reference, my installed extensions are:
  • IE View
  • GMail Notifier
  • Duplicate Tab
  • PlainText Links
  • Paste-And-Go
  • DeepestSender
  • MiniT
  • BlogThis
  • Google Toolbar for Firefox

If I remember correctly, everything worked fine until I cleared my cookies for some reason. Ever since then, nothing.

Hmm, 1.0.7 at home did not work, but I didn't expect it to. The oddest part was that a fresh copy of portable firefox didn't work either. Since this uses it's own cookie/etc repository I don't know why it failed. I'm tempted to try 1.5beta but I'd rather not put a beta on my home machine.

I've never been able to get Firefox to work with Jabootu's forums. Starting with pre-1.0 version all the way up to 1.07. I always have to use my username and password whenever I want to post anything.
