I've finished reading the reviews of Godzilla and Godzilla 2000 (two of the only three movies on the site I have actually seen) and enjoyed them immensely. Keep up the good work. The only slight thing I might suggest if you have a suggestion box would be to perhaps use a different font than Comic MS. I think something more along the Arial/Helvetica or Times News Roman would be less tiring on the eyes when reading your delightful long reviews. And/or the font size could be diminished a bit, sort of like the text in Mr. Begg's reviews.
Then again my computer has given me troubles with fonts in the last few months, so it might just be me showing Comic MS for some reason and the fonts on the site is fine. In which case, feel free to use my suggestion note for toilet paper. :)
Coupled with the scientific replies above, I hope my nitpicking doesn't come as an annoyance, because I think the reviews are great and I'm looking forward to perusing them over the next few weeks!

I use Comic MS out of habit, I had a Pakistani GTA in college insist we use it because he said it was "closer to his native language" (?) and he could read it better than other fonts. I don't remember a single thing he tried to teach me that sememster, but I've used that font ever since, so I guess it wasn't a total loss... But I'll look at other fonts to see if they read better. Thanks for the ideas! nate

I don't mind the Comic Sans. The lack of a serif means it's a bit smoother on the eyes, and the large type size makes it easier for someone like myself whose eyes...aren't what they used to be.
I would say that if you reformat using a smaller size font, you should probably change the background color to white just to ensure ease of readability (the name of the game, after all).
The reviews continue to be lots of fun to read--with luck, if you decide to change formats I'll still be able to read them! |

I think I'm going to stick with Comic Sans for now, I just like the way it looks better than the other fonts. Glad people are enjoying my stuff. Now if you could all just email my wife and tell her that, then maybe she'd stop smacking me for "wasting all my free time watching bad movies and typing for hours on end"...

Nice site. I like the fact that you do older films and more obscure films. Keep up the good work!

In reference to the Battle in Outer Space review; The Morrow Project was a role-playing game circa 1980 that cast the players as members of a survivalist organization in a post-apocalyptic world. MARS-1 and Science-1 were massive vehicles (think Damnation Alley) that were available for use. Mars-1 configured for combat, Science-1 configured for, well, science.

As long as it's not from the 1st Nigerian Bank
obtw, I love your in-depth analysis of the Japanese Giant Monster Movies. You obviously do a lot of research on the subject.

Thanks, just trying to fill a niche. The Most Honorable Jabootu has a stated disinterest in Japanese scifi and monster movies, so I'm here to step in and take the hit for him.

You know...I've never been a huge fan of that particular niche - but criminey! You're good. Well done, sir - I'm suddenly a fan...

When I read it, your writing is nice and conversational--it reads as if you're talking TO me, rather than AT me.
