I'm pretty sure everyone here browses SuperDickery regularly, but this image struck me as so bizarre I felt I had to share it anyway.

Does anyone know what IS going on here? Do sharks make really good hand weapons?

Alligators do. I don't see why sharks wouldn't.

Look at it this way. Either the guy you're bludgeoning breaks, or the shark does. Either way, you win.

I don't know about Flare and that shark, but Mr. T can swing whatever he damn well pleases. When you go around single-handedly beating down Unicron, nobody's going to argue about your choice of weaponry:

Though it's hard to top Cat Man using another human being as his weapon:

Is there a structural rateing for anamals used for weapons? How much centrifical force does it take, for example, to make the rest of the shark ( Or gator) to break loose and go flying? Is there a cushoning effect from the cartilage skin of the shark, that lowers its "Impact Potential", so to speak.
And just how hard could you hit a villain, if you hit him with Ingred Newkirk insted of the shark?

Organizing and publishing such a list will bring forth all manner of great cheesy action hero one-liners.

I can see it now... An evil henchmen named "Nail" with razor-sharp talons, and a hero swinging a hammerhead shark. The witty dialogue will practically write itself!

I think the basic rule in Champions is that the damage done by a swung shark cannot exceed the damage it takes to destroy the shark. So add up the Shark's Body and PD to find the maximum dice in damage a shark can inflict when swung.

Can't find shark rules for the game, but if you were to swing the Marvel villain Tiger Shark, (per http://www.angelfire.com/scifi2/mathew/cstigershark.html), you would inflict a maximum of 14 + 13 = 27 dice of normal physical damage.

And here I thought this was a topic in the vein of Jumping the Shark or Jumping the Couch.

Ah...so if you swung Ingred Newkirk aginst an alien invader gorilla, the damage would be calculated on the Hackmaster stats table?
Okey...i can see that.
Should shark jumping be an Olympic event? I can see it now....the 5 meter shark jump! With an inherint penalty for falling in with the sharks. Ouch!
