CBS is running Vampire Bats (the sequel to previous Jabootu subject Locusts) tonight, Sunday, Oct 30th. Anyone wishing to join a readers' roundtable on the movie should write up their notes and send them to me by Thursday, or Friday at the latest, at ken@Jabootu.com
Also, time for a pool: What animal menace will Lucy Lawless face in the next one of these?

Squrim.
It's out on DVD, and supposedly has a very good director's commentary track.

Well, first she was some sort of entomologist and was part of the top staff at the Dept. of Agriculture, and she ended up fighting locusts. Then she quit all that to become a university biology professor and she confronts bats. I think it's safe to say that in the next installment, she will have gotten a PhD in both astrophysics and molecular biology and will be fighting alien creatures that have been released by the evil Amerikkkan military-industrial complex.
