Oy....
From Scientests who are "The beutiful people" ( Except the Quade, and he's STILL the most fun character in this thing.)...to the religious fanatics...the E-VIL corperate/political types...the "ITS GLOBAL WARMING, FOOLS" plot device...the designated heros...the "Modified" SR-71 ( Like to see thoseblueprints...to the laughing clown head through the window...nice to know killer storms hate mimes too...oh, the list goes on...
And i want..no, demand!...that Ken give this movie the royal wedgie it deserves! And Marlowe, and Scott Foy, and Nathan...come on, its just a natural!
So....who wants dibs on nameing the sequal? I kinda like CATAGORY 8 : GOODBY SOLAR SYSTEM!

Scott Foy actually asked me if I were going to roundtable this too, and the answer was no, basically for two reasons. First, I didn't see the first movie (Last year's Catagory 6), and second, because I'm already doomed to sit through the soon to be telecast* 10.5 Apocalypse, since I did review the first one of that.
[*Actually, I just googled 10.5 A and learned I've been given a reprieve. For whatever reason, the mini has been bumped from this month--a sweeps month--and will show next year instead. Weird, especially since 10.5, while utterly retarded, got boffo rating.]
PEGGY: I don't see how having a girl on the team would ruin it. Did a woman judge ruin the Supreme Court?

Well done!
A game lost me the last 7 minutes of this thing, just as the Terrorist did their thing. But, i expected a two parter.
One things for sure...they better up the landmark trashing this time! Paris and Mt. Rushmore were intresting, but the previews show NYC getting it. Admitedly, i'm..a bit leery of that, but its tradition, and so it goes.
Lets see....speculation abounds.
sooo...I predict!...The religious loon is behind the terrorist plot...the designated heros will have a big "Lets put the corperate types in their place" speech...The Quade will still get the best lines...some minor character will make the ultimate sacrifice, not the major leads...and so on...
Any other "Carnacs" out there?

This comment is doubly funny if you've actually seen any of CAT 7. Quaid quite literally looks like Bozo the Clown out of make-up and uniform.

Living in Washington DC, it might be interesting
to see a CGI destructo-fest.
Of course, I'd suffer enough nerve damage from
the hideousness of the rest of the movie that
I'd have to buy a motorized wheelchair, so no
thanks.

Well....
I saw it....
Still haveing the odd twitch in my hitch...
3 words....Oh, My, God...
Did someone figger out how they broke up the storm? I was compelled to fast forward some...part of the bodys survival instinct, i guess...
Did..did the kidnapping actualy have anything to do with the storm story? I'm a bit fuzzy on that...oh, and the Quade still had the best lines.
And finaly, if we cut out all but the FX scenes...this cheesefest would last all of 20 minuits. THAT would be a good thing.
