Aw, rats. Big, giant filthy mutant rats....
A BattleTech flick could have been good. If it had a good script. But, concitering the complexity of the scocio-political landscape of the BT universe ( And thats just the Inner Sphear, forget the Clans.), it would have had to be kept totaly at the small unit ( one lance of mechs )level, for a normal audiance to keep up with it.
Hummmm....anyone else remember the short lived BT cartoon that ran some years ago?

I don't know about Battletech, but I am reminded of the Heavy Gear series:

I don't know if it was any good or not. but the concept was originally a card game, then a RPG then a miniatures wargame and eventually a video game. All over the map. |
