| But look at the "best sequel list". I can see an argument for Terminator 2 and Aliens, both of which I enjoyed (although not as much as the originals), but Gremlins 2? |

Speaking of Cubes, Cube 2 qualifies. The original Cube was a decent low budget character study with mood and gore. The second was pure dreck.
The Sting II was awful. Shock Treatment (aka Rocky Horror II) made the first film look like Sound Of Music. And I personally think that 2010: The Year We Dumb it Down For Joe Sixpack was insulting.
I don't know why people keep bringing up Exorcist II: The Heretic. I LOVE that movie.
BTW I felt Alien 3 was much better on the David Fincher DC DVD. And Kill Bill Volume II isn't a sequel, it's the other half of the same movie.

Alien 3 was still a thousand times better than Alien:Resurrection.

Actually, there's a parallel there with the Karate Kid movies: first one = guilty pleasure, second one= lame money grab but at least has original cast members and general concept intact, third = what's that smell?? *g*

Well color me suprise on Star Wars 1: THE PHANTOM MENACE. It seems like everyone jumps on the "let's bash SW1:TPM" bandwagon. Sheesh people, give it a rest. It's not the worst sequal in the world. Sure Jar Jar was in it, but the rest of the movie is good. Not an Oscar worthey film, but it's an ok movie.
Also Ghost Busters II, wasn't that bad either.
Oh yeah I forgot that SW:TPM is a prequal, not a sequal. Still, it hit a raw nerve in me when people say that SW:TPM is the worst movie ever. Especially when some people say that Peter Jackson's "Lord of the Rings", is the worst movie ever. Sorry for the rant.

Thank God i'm not the only one who thought that. I didn't even care for Gremlins 1, much less 2, which had a higher cheese factor.

Mangler 2 or any of the Children of the Corn sequels. Really any Stephen King sequels ought to be included...
