Gee, thanks, Brad. Nice of you to be so respectful of the religions of your fellow boardmembers. Hope you have a nice day, too.
Hinda: Our fasting isn't a commemoration. It's a time to reflect on one's blessings, to make a special effort in prayer, and donate the equivalent of the skipped meals for the benefit of the poor.

I think Brad was referring to actor's heads, not Mormon's heads, Nate. I think fasting one day a month and donaing the equivalent of the skipped meals to the poor is a beautiful idea. I had a Moslem friend once, who couldn't fast on Ramadan because of a medical condition. She told me that, for every day she didn't fast, she had to donate enough money to charity to feed a poor man. |

| Nathan, I'm not about to make a cheap joke about someone's religious practices. Mean and stupid are a bad combination. No, I was indeed talking about the actors, who I think deserve all the cheap jokes aimed at them. |

Ah, this is all old hat and yesterday's news.
Absolutely nothing compares to the time they protested Saddam's tyranny by subjecting themselves to torture with steel cables and routine rape sessions to show solidarity with the Iraqi people. And spending the whole night in a simulated mass grave filled with dead animals (to simulate dead people)?
Man, that took guts.
And then there was the time all those Hollywood actors refused to read anything banned by Castro in order to show solidarity with the Cuban people and share their suffering.
It's like I don't even feel fit to exist in the same country as these great and caring people.
