True. In fact, Bill Ruger supported the 1994 bill that prohibited assault weapons (more than 10-round magazine capacity) for that reason (to protect his own business) and lots of gun owners vowed to boycott Ruger for it. I own a Ruger Blackhawk .357 Magnum and some friends keep urging me to get rid of it...their anger still persists.

Whaaat!? Ruger did that? Let the busnessman in him get the better of him. Sad that, as i like Rugers.
